The Great Orbulon's Hat
Introduction
This is "The Great Orbulon's Hat | RT Game Animated". This animation was done for a stop motion class I took during my time at Austin Community College. The audio for this was recorded from a vod of the Twitch Streamer/YouTuber RT Game while playing a randomizer run of Elden Ring with another Twitch Streamer/YouTuber Shenpai.
How it was made
I started with making a rough sketch of what I wanted my characters to look like. From there, I used _____ clay and tooth picks to attach the head/hats to their body's. to get the finer blending and textures on their heads/hats, I used a round metal clay tool.
Next was the Background. I pretty much free styled this one with no real plan in place, I really just needed to make the scene match the source material as close as I could with the limited resources I had available. Using an old cardboard box, sticky tack, and hot glue, I made some book shelfs, books, a bench, a barrel of tooth picks, and wall decorations.
From there, I started animating. The software I used was Dragon Frame, and in terms of a plan, I didn't really have one. For this animation, I used straight ahead instead of storyboarding. Afterwards, I made some touchups in Davinci Resolve, and added any necessary sound effects.
