Mark Want's to Feel
Introduction
This animation is called "Mark Want's to Feel". The animation was made for the same reason as some other animations I have made before which was for a class I was taking for my 2D animation Degree. Our assignment was to make an animation out of some pre-made rigs/puppets, focusing on lipsync. When we were given this assignment, I had recently watched the livestream of Markiplier playing the secret of the Mimic and really wanted to make an animation of a specific part of the livestream.
How it was made
At first, I didn't know exactly what puppet rig I wanted to use for the animation, I thought maybe using Lamby from Cult of the Lamb would be funny, but ultimately decided against that. Then I saw we had a grunkle stan puppet and immediatly knew it would work great. The software I used was Toon Boom Harmony, and thanks to the puppet design, there was pleanty of mouths and positions for me to work with. But before any real animation began, I had to record myself doing the positions and mouth movements of the character.
From there, I had to make a quick rough outline of what I wanted the animation to look like. THis consists of mostly still frames and barely any detail as to the bnody or mouth movement. Afterwards, I put the outline into Harmony and had to bend the puppet to my will and put him in the key positions. After that, I began to do the inbetweens and lipsyncing. unfortunately I could only animate one arm moving as I was having trouble with the puppet and time was running out for me to complete the animation.
